China Visa Requirements & Fees
PLEASE GATHER, PREPARE AND SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
FOR CHINA TOURIST (L) VISA
1. Your Passport
You must send your actual passport, which must have at least 12 months of validity remaining and one blank visa page.
Note: The last three pages on the US passport are amendment and endorsement pages. They cannot be used for visa stamp. If your passport doesn’t meet the requirement.
2. China Visa Application Form
Download Form V.2013. Forms must be completely filled, signed and dated. One form per applicant. Do not leave any areas blank but instead write “N/A” if you don’t have answer to a question, or if the question does not apply to you.
Note: The Chinese Consulate in Houston DOES NOT accept hand-written application forms. You must TYPE your answers in the fillable pdf form if you apply through our Houston office
3. Photograph
One color 2×2 photo, with a plain background, taken by a professional passport photo service, such as Walgreen, CVS, Kinkos, etc. Photos printed on regular papers are not accepted.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR CHINA BUSINESS (F) VISA
Invitation Letter OR Business Letter
A letter of invitation from Chinese company or organization stating the dates and purpose of your visit. If you don’t have an invitation letter from China, you may submit a Business Letter instead. On your company letterhead, write a letter addressed to the Chinese Consulate requesting a business visa on your behalf. Here is a Sample Business Letter for your reference. Please make sure that the name on the invitation or business letter must be exactly the same as it appears on your passport.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR CHINA WORK (Z) VISA
1. Work Permit
Issued by the Labor Department or Foreign Experts Bureau, the permit should be obtained for you by your Chinese employer.
2. Visa Authorization Notice
Issued by the Foreign Affairs Office, this document should be sent to you by your Chinese Employer along with the work permit.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR CHINA STUDENT (X) VISA
1. Letter of Admission
Send the original and a photocopy of your Admission Notice from a Chinese school.
2. Application for Study in China
Aka JW202 or JW201 form. Please send the original and a photocopy of the form.
3. Physical Examination (For Houston Office only)
Download the Physical Examination Record for Foreigners. The form must be completed and signed by your doctor. This form is only required in the Houston office.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR CHINA CREW (C) VISA
1. Business Letter
A letter from the airline to the Chinese Consulate stating your purpose of visit.
2. Crew Identification
Photocopy of your crew badge.
