4 Days North Michigan Fall Foliage Tour

Day 1: Chicago – Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

Morning bus depart from Chicago to the Sleeping Bear Dunes. After the last glacier melted around 12,000 years ago, a large amount of sand was left and formed today’s one of the largest moving sand dunes in the world. Here standing on the peak of the dunes, you can get a panoramic view of Lake Michigan and admire the vibrant fall foliage from one of the best location in north Michigan.

Day 2: Mackinac Island Tour

Morning, take a fast ferry to Mackinac Island on own expense. The island has been designated by the US government as a protected tourist area. The island’s transportation is limited to only bicycles, horse carriages and horseback riding. The 19th century town is well preserved and free of pollution.  On the way, you can see the majestic Mackinac Bridge, a five-mile suspension bridge connecting the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. You may take a horse carriage ride on own expense to visit island’s highlights such as the national park, stone castles and churches, carriage museums and the elegant Grand Hotel, built in 1887 to film the world’s blockbuster movie “Times Back 70 Years”.

Day 3: Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore – Porcupine Mountains

Head to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, next to Lake Superior, its unique natural scenery made it become the first national lakeside reserve in United States. Then ascend to the top of the Porcupine Mountain and enjoy the amazing color of the fall. This is the No. 1 ranked place in USA for foliage watching.

Day 4: Green Bay City – Milwaukee – Chicago

Green Bay City is the main venue for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League. Tour visit the largest stadium in Wisconsin. Afternoon, arrive in Milwaukee, the “beautiful land” referred by the indigenous Indians. There are about 10 of the world’s top 500 companies and 24 of the world’s top 1000 companies based in Milwaukee. Arrive back in Chicago in evening.
