Glimpse of Vietnam

Day 1: Arrive Hanoi

Arrive Hanoi, tour guide meet at airport and transfer to hotel for check in.

Day 2: Hanoi (B, D)

Morning, take a cyclo tour to visit the Ho Chi Minh’s Complex (closed on Mondays and Fridays), including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh Stilt House and the enigmatic wooden One Pillar Pagoda. Continue visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university. Afternoon, visiting the Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mondays), and take a food sampling tour at the Hanoi Old Quarter.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay On Cruise (B, L, D)

Morning transfer to the UNESCO site of Halong Bay (3.5 hrs). Upon arrival, board the cruise and enjoy a welcome drink and a delicious seafood lunch as the boat sailing out of the bay. You will get to explore the Sung Sot Cave, the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay, swim and relaxing at the beach of Titov Island or climb up to the top of the island for a panorama view of Halong Bay. Overnight on Cruise.

Day 4: Halong Bay Cruise – Hanoi – Hue(B, L)

Enjoy early morning Tai Chi on board. After breakfast, you get the chance to Kayak around the Luon Cave, enjoy the view as cruise passing by Ba Hang fishing village, Dog Islet, etc, view of the bay’s landscape. Disembark cruise at around noon and transfer to airport for evening flight to Hue. Upon arrival, guide meet and transfer to hotel. Day 5: Hue (B, L)

After breakfast, drive to visit the former Imperial Citadel, an UNESCO site, from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Then, take a relaxing sunset cruise on the Perfume River. Evening, enjoy a traditional musical/show on the river.

Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (B, L)

Morning transfer to Hoi An. It is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating from the 16th to the 18th century for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab merchants. Listed as an UNESCO site, it is known for its silk, eclectic architecture, and streets reflecting the influences by both indigenous and foreign. Enjoy the walk through the Old Quarters to see the local landmarks and discover the local crafts in the nearby villages. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 7: Day free on (B)

Optional city tours available.

Day 8: Hoi An – Da Nang – Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) (B)

Free till transfer to Da Nang Airport and take flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, guide transfer to hotel. Saigon evening optional tours available.

Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta (B, L, D)

Morning transfer to Cai Be and visit the floating markets. Take a boat through the waterway maze to Vinh Long and enjoy a delta lunch at local Bonsai gardener’s house. After lunch, continue to explore the tributaries and canals of the Delta. Later afternoon, visit local family and join the locals for “Catching fish by hand” and enjoy the dinner with the locals. Overnight in Homestay in Vinh Long.

Day 10: Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh City (B, L)

After breakfast, take a bike ride to local market and experience the local market food shopping. Learn and assist the locals to cook traditional Vietnamese dishes for lunch. After lunch, transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Rest day free on own.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City (B)

Morning half day city tour visit the Reunification Hall, the War Crimes Exhibition or the History Museum, a lacquer or rattan ware factory, Notre Dame Cathedral, War Remnants Museum, Centre Post Office, China Town and Thien Hau Pagoda. Stop at Binh Tay or Ben Thanh Market for shopping. Afternoon free on own.
Optional tour vising the Cuchi Tunnel – Underground tunnels network used during Vietnam War.

Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure (B)

Free till transfer to airport for flight departure.
