Japan Highlights

Day 1: Arrive Tokyo

Upon arrival, local staff meet at airport and assist with prearranged transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Tokyo

Morning half day tour visiting Tokyo Tower, Imperial Palace, Asakusa Kannon Temple, Nakamise shopping Arcade and drive by Ueno & Akihabara the famous Electric Town. After tour, drop off at Tokyo Station or Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal. Rest of day free on own to explore Tokyo.

Day 3: Tokyo – Mt. Fuji – Hakone – Kyoto (L)

Morning transfer from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji area by bus (2.5 hours). Take cable car up to Mt. Fuji 5th Station, 7500 ft above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds. After Japanese style lunch, take sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi which formed from volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles. Afterwards, take cable car ride up to the peak of Mt. Komagatake and visit the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya. Later afternoon, transfer to Odawara station and take bullet train to Kyoto (2-2.5 hours).  Upon arrival, guide will assist with boarding prearranged taxi to hotel for check-in.

Day 4: Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto (L)

Morning tour visiting Nijo Castle, Golden Pavilion and Kyoto Imperial Palace (closed on Sat and Sun). After lunch, transfer to Nara and visit Todaiji Temple, Nara Park, Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Nara Nagomikan handicraft center. Return back to Kyoto in early evening.

Day 5: Free day in Kyoto

On own arrangement to explore Kyoto.

Day 6: Kyoto – Departure

Free till transfer to Kansai airport for departure.
